I’m a college graduate and a mom. I understand what it takes to get into college. When my son applied to University of Richmond—his “reach” school—the admissions director asked me to write an essay about him. To tell them something about him they wouldn’t know from his application. It was a unique opportunity and a good one. My essay must’ve helped. He was accepted, attended and graduated in 2018.

Everything needs to come together. SAT and ACT test scores, crafting a resume. filling out the Common app and the FASFA, completing individual college applications and sending fees, gathering transcripts, community service reports and teacher recommendations.
